TITANS: A NEW TYPE OF SUPERHERO SHOW

It's been a while since DC's Titans premiered last month in October and, it has gotten a lot of mixed reviews. Some people say it's a "mess", some say it's average but if you're like me and you don't agree with any of that and you're like me, you think is great. I love how even though the show is primarily about protecting Rachael not only from her self but people who want to use her as a weapon, it maintains the episodic vibe that the original cartoon had where there could be a main story but it wouldn't just revolve around it. They are a couple of spoilers ahead so thread carefully folks!
I honestly understand the criticism with this show because it didn't really start off strong, it was a slow born until episode 5 or so where we saw the Doom Patrol. I think since then its been simply exceptional, great fight scenes, gritty reality, great character interactions especially now that the team is together(kind of). I have been trying to make a post about titans, i wanted to address the whole critique for the dark tone but i feel like the show isn't even that dark.
I mean, Dick Grayson beats up people ruthlessly but that's not because they're trying to be dark, its a story arc and kind of the whole other major point of this show, that is, seeing Robin gradually grow out of Batman's dark shadow. Some people might say the darkness thing goes farther with characters like Kori who straight up murders people and to them i say this:

what would you if you suddenly woke up with no real memory of who you are, superpowers? what would you do if your one lead on discovering yourself gets kidnapped? wouldn't you protect that person? Well, you can always say that's not a real reason so, let me think of a better one. You see, we're so caught up with our childhood nostalgia that we tend to forget that hitting people with bat-erangs or straight up attacking them with heat would actually hurt them.....ALOT!.

At only seven episodes in, we've seen a lot of cool stuff such as Ryan Potter's great portrayal of Beast Boy, he's lovable, funny, weird and if you're anything like me,you will find it easy relating with him .The fact that this show isn't on the CW, Fox or any other network literally gives it the opportunity to do whatever, show whatever character, go to any extreme. The possibilities are literally endless and if Titans keeps getting more viewers, i know they will be a lot more live action series to come besides the already scheduled Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing which is really great.
I think the show outdid itself with its latest episode which featured Dick Grayson(the o.g) and Jason Todd working together. Jason was not only likable, but he was also really really intriguing. For one, you get to see that this "dark path" that Dick has been on is really nothing compared to the unhinged monster that is Jason Todd. You get to see what true unhinged brutality is. You also get to understand how he thinks which i really loved. He's basically an hyperactive lost kid with a dark past who thinks the system is rigged so he has to take the law into his own hands.

Honestly i just really enjoy watching this show. They are a lot of things that got me pleasantly surprised but if i were to be really specific, i think the part of the show i didn't know i would be impressed by was definitely Star Fire. The actress who plays her (Anna Diop) really took me by surprised. She's really charming, witty and extremely badass but i have to admit, it took me atleast five episodes to really get sold on her really unique costume.  I think what i love is how you like her more with each episode, i think that you have to be a really good actress to keep impressing people with your portrayal of a classic character.  Everybody on the show do a really good job in my opinion, i like how real and brutal it can be, i enjoy the flashback scenes a lot and i really enjoy the fight scenes, especially the ones involving Robin because he's simply a beast on this show. So guys, if you don't watch the show because you don't think its faithful to the comics and tv show.....throw that thought away and watch the damn show!

Also guys, check out the new Aquaman trailer, its wild and has beautiful shots and amazing music.

Before i log off i just have to say this, Rest in peace Stan Lee, you will be missed.

Who Would Win? Batman Vs Spiderman

Okay before I start I'd like you all to know I am not being partial in any way at all. I had this argument with my friend Andrea a couple of days back and now I feel like sharing on who I think would win,but I realised they are two perspective 1-choosing a winner based on accomplishment 2-choosing a winner based on powers or strengths 1- this perspective is basically saying "oh look at this let's check out both characters accomplishments",they both have taken down a large amount of enemies ranging from smart villains to dumb ones, they've both faced foes that are big and strong. So it's only reasonable to think Batman would win here, not by a long shot though because Spiderman is a force to be reckoned with. Batman has basically done more important things,he has defeated Superman severally, dodged darkseid's omega beams, outsmarted braniac,I mean the man is a bit fluent in kryptonian and he knows several martial art skills and he's just a human......

IT(2017):Lazy Review

I've been stuck thinking about what to post and I got nothing. But I remembered that I watched "IT" late December and I wasn't scared surprisingly. I mean, they were a couple of jump scares but overall nothing really scared me. It was a fun movie though and I see why it got a sequel announced and universal praise. It's based of the first chapter of the Stephen King novel of the same name and I have read a couple of pages from  the book but I haven't finished it because I'm lazy and I procrastinate a lot(I haven't still finished reading a song of ice and fire).   Set in the '90-somethings(I'm lazy don't eat me) in a town of something, something(I know, you're disappointed) a series of kids get missing and the adults of the town act like nothing's happening. Bill Denbrough(that's right,I remembered his name) looses his brother as well. Billy and other kids in the town(including his friends) start to see th...

FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD

The first fantastic beast was truly a surprise to me,I never thought I ’d enjoy it as much as I did, especially with it being a Harry Potter(I love Harry Potter) prequel. The titular character Newt Scamander truly held his own as the face of this new franchise which impressed me because of how unique he was from Harry Potter himself. He wasn't some kind of chosen one or extremely special person, he was just a good guy who saw the best in everybeing which I felt made him stand out.  Set many years before the philosopher’s stone, the first film established a lot of cool stuff like the american wizarding world as well as fun new characters so,when they announced they would be a total of five films, I got scared. I mean,I expected a sequel but four sequels? That really felt like a stretch so before I saw this sequel,I kept thinking “do they really have enough story for five movies?” and now that I've seen this film, I feel like they might not.  ...
