The Batman: Something’s In The Way!

A couple of years ago, Ben Affleck posted a tweet confirming incredible Matt Reeves as the director of his Batman movie called “The Batman”. Ben talked about having difficulty writing, starring in and directing the film so Matt Reeves was going to help with some of that. Unfortunately, Ben would later leave the project and Matt would then start work on directing the film himself with a new actor and set in its own universe. After a while, Robert Pattinson would be chosen to play the dark knight in Reeves film and after long time of split opinions from fans on the casting, we’ve finally arrived at the premiere of the Batman which was initially slated to release last year.  I saw The Batman yesterday with some of the biggest DC fans I know, like me, they’ve been going crazy counting down the release of this film, the hype has been incredible. I read reviews online and the majority called The Batman a masterpiece with some calling it the best superhero film ever and so, I went on a two

Loki Is Very Very Horrible: An Honest Rant

You probably clicked on this because of my very clickbait-y title and I’m very proud of myself for doing that. The title isn’t so clickbait-y because I do think Loki is horrible, well....it became horrible. Breath in, put on your reading glasses and refrain yourself from insulting me till you’re done reading.  Spoilers Ahead Before I proceed, I would like to state the following, to begin with, I have forgotten a lot about this show even if it’s quite recent so, everything I say in this my coming rant will simply be from a place of how it made me feel so I might suck with specifics (yes, I’m proofing myself from diehards) and in addition, this post is totally not biased in any way as I did genuinely want to love Loki and I really really enjoyed the very first episode. Now, let’s begin. I think my biggest issue with the new mcu shows is how they all have very interesting beginnings (and sometimes middles) but, the endings are just so bloody awful. If I were to rank them in terms of whi

Black Widow: Marvel Surprises!

It’s crazy to think that Black Widow, a character first introduced to us over a decade ago in Iron Man 2 (I think) is only now getting her own standalone film and what’s crazier is that, she’s not even the first female in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to get one. This film which was scheduled to have been released way earlier has finally come out after the release of both WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier two new MCU shows on Disney+. Please note that the following review will contain possible spoilers so thread lightly if you haven’t seen the film.   Okay so, while this film is still fairly new, I’m a late watcher compared to the rest of the world and most of my friends in real life and on social media have seen the film and their reactions weren’t all that great. What I found truly surprising was how even my MCU die hard buddies called it average or boring. After hearing these statements I told myself it could either be so bad the MCU loyalists couldn’t hide it o

Army Of The Dead: A Crazy Roller Coaster!

Visionary director, Zack Snyder comes through with a new release following his long awaited director’s cut of 2017’s Justice League. This time (and thanks to Netflix), he has full creative control of the entire film.    Army of the dead was shot, written and directed by Zack himself and is his return to horror, the same genre of his first feature film “Dawn of the Dead”. Army of the dead is an extremely ambitious film with the potential for multiple sequels and spinoffs besides the already announced ones. I’ll try my best to make this a spoiler free review although I make talk or hint about certain things that happen in the film.   The film tells the story of a team of skilled men and women coming together to go to closed off zombie infested Las Vegas to retrieve millions of dollars from a vault before the US government nukes the entire place and its zombie residents. Each member of this team standout and feel like real people with personalities. There’s a lot of present world realis

the little things review.

note: there are little spoilers in this review... anyone that's a fan of good thriller and drama would be hyped to see what our movie leads - Leto, Malek, and Washington - would bring to the scene. the movie is set in 1990 and a serial killer is on the loose, killing females gruesomely. his trademark? - a nylon over their heads as the dead bodies bleed out. the detective on the case, Baxter (Malek), teams up with deputy sheriff Joe Deacon (Washington) out of what seems like respect for Joe's back story. i thought this was funny. the acting is exceptional as you'd expect (or not). the role of deputy sheriff isn't anything out of the ordinary for Washington given his track record and performance in The Equalizer . Leto's act as Sparma is a dazzle - the strides, accent, looks, creepy details. it almost makes one worry where he's been all through the first hour of the movie. that said, the movie is an overstretch given the ending. with good cinematography, there&#
