  It’s crazy to think that Black Widow, a character first introduced to us over a decade ago in Iron Man 2 (I think) is only now getting her own standalone film and what’s crazier is that, she’s not even the first female in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to get one. This film which was scheduled to have been released way earlier has finally come out after the release of both WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier two new MCU shows on Disney+.   Visionary director, Zack Snyder comes through with a new release following his long awaited director’s cut of 2017’s Justice League. This time (and thanks to Netflix), he has full creative control of the entire film.    Army of the dead was shot, written and directed by Zack himself and is his return to horror, the same genre of his first feature film “Dawn of the Dead”. Army of the dead is an extremely ambitious film with the potential for multiple sequels and spinoffs besides the already announced ones.   note: there are little spoilers in this review... anyone that's a fan of good thriller and drama would be hyped to see what our movie leads - Leto, Malek, and Washington - would bring to the scene. the movie is set in 1990 and a serial killer is on the loose, killing females gruesomely. his trademark? - a nylon over their heads as the dead bodies bleed out. the detective on the case, Baxter (Malek), teams up with deputy sheriff Joe Deacon (Washington) out of what seems like respect for Joe's back story. i thought this was funny. the acting is exceptional as you'd expect (or not). the role of deputy sheriff isn't anything out of the ordinary for Washington given his track record and performance in The Equalizer . Anime is one of the best mediums of story telling in recent years. It's diverse and offers a wide variety of genres, from comedy, action, thriller and romance. Most popular series are usually fast paced, exaggerated and action packed but, pretty much all the amazing anime films are usually grounded, slow and visually phenomenal and these are qualities this film taps into.                        Ōkami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki (Wolf Children) is honestly what great movies are all about.   Soul is the latest addition to Pixar's animated film line up and I must say, it's truly an interesting watch that needs digestion.   Soul like any other Pixar animated film builds upon already existing conceptual ideas and adds a relatable human feel to it. I do not want to be that guy but I feel like this is the second really conceptual focused film I've seen this year with Tenet being the first and while both have very great ideas, I think this film definitely fully realized it's ideas rather than overdoing and falling flat.      Aladdin is a classic Disney film and just like the classics before it, Aladdin has gotten its own live action remake and i'm here to tell you what i think about it. Disney's Aladdin tries to improve on the old film by adding layers of depth to characters like the Genie and Jasmine. Guy Ritchie helms the project and if you're familiar with his previous works like King Arthur:Legend Of The Sword and Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows, you'd know he's very good at translating fantasy and craziness to the big screen and Aladdin is in no case different as he embraces the old classic and makes important adjustments to it.    The cast of this new film do a really great job, i think the only person who truly felt different from the original had to be Jafar but i guess they were going for a more direct and diabolical than creepy and a master planner.
