J.Cole- KOD

  Alright so J.Cole finally dropped KOD and although it's only been a couple of hours,I've listened to it and I want to talk about it.

Now this isn't a "review",it's a first listen reaction. Just like 4Youreyezonly,at first listen this isn't really crazy like that but it's very very good. I won't completely praise my Idol,I'll have to be very honest with y'all about this.

   Okay now so here's a couple of things I didn't like. For one,a lot of songs were short like 3minutes or so. When I noticed I was kind of pissed but I understood what he was doing. The whole concept of this album from my interpretation at least was trying to use " Trap Style " to pass positive messages.

  If you listen or if you've listened already you'd notice that, most of the songs have this trap vibe and Cole's alter ego kiLL edward is kind of the trap version of Jermaine and his flow was very trappy.
Jermaine himself said this album has three meanings;Kidz on drugz,king overdosed and killing our demonz and that he leaves the rest to our own interpretation. And my own interpretation is this;

  KOD is Cole realising that he can easily break out of his usual style and still bring in the depth of his former works. His three meanings are still seen spread across the album for instance. Photograph talks about addiction to the internet and how many people get obsessed with people on the internet who they don't actually know.

Once an addict talks about parent's on drugs and how their cycle of drugs affect the ones they love whether they know it or not.

These messages are spread through out the album but he doesn't do it in his usual way,he literally created a trap alter ego to show how corny trap artists are. In Kevin's heart, he uses his alter ego to the background yelling thing(e.g "Skrr Skrr) that trappers like Migos and future do.

  After the outro, another intro(into the fall of) plays and damn!!!!! It easily one of the most respectful and thought provoking diss tracks I've ever listened to. The man didn't even put any hate into it he just spoke the truth and like they say the truth hurts!.

    Honesty when I first listened, everything just went by so quickly leaving me underwhelmed but I heard a couple of tracks again and I understood what he was trying to do but the only problem right now is that I feel like not everyone might get it because the way he executed it wouldn't be obvious to everyone.

   In conclusion if you listen to this album only once, you'd feel underwhelmed just like 4 your eyez only but if you take your time,it'll go up your ranking. It's 7.5/10 right now for me tell me what you think while i go get a speaker and jam up to some KOD!!!!!.

First Listen: Lil Yachty - Let's Start Here.

 woah. brother broccoli starts 2023 with something totally unexpected: a psychedelic rock album. lil yachty said in an interview (with someone i don't remember) that he just wants to be taken seriously, as a musician. it's a little sad when someone puts their all into a craft, sometimes even create a groundbreaking sound, but still get termed the bare minimum or worse, "mumble rapper." while this album is beautiful, it's not as stellar as other projects in the same genre. but music is more than that. it's also the process, emotions, message, etc. brother broccoli took a risk to make what he wants/feels and he succeeded. that's what makes this album a beauty asides the wonky ai art and trying-hard-to-stay-in-the-flow lyricism . the features ate. the producers brought their a-game. the engineers blessed the record. since poland, it's clear that yachty decided to broaden his scope and make not just music he loves, but quality. i definitely respect his art...

THOR RAGNAROK

   So,if you haven't seen the movie and don't want any spoilers, bookmark this page and come back later.     Now that's been said,I'm going to talk about Thor Ragnarok and I'm going to be quite frank,it's been getting a lot of buzz so I had to see it. And as most of you who read my posts know,I'm mostly a DC fan and I sometimes seem biased but to be honest I just like good movies.  I am going to be judging this movie based on what has been established by the MCU so far. So please don't send me death threats, this is how I always feel when you guys don't like what I say. It makes me so sad😭  Now,listen here if this is your first marvel flick and you just had a bad day and you went to be entertained for 2hrs,this movie is for you.... If you're a biased marvel fan boy who never criticises, this movie is also for you...but if you like movies that know how to balance tones and don't go from "this is the end of the world...

WESTWORLD: A NEW WORLD

 Do you like westerns(cowboy films) ? Are you a sci-fi fan?  Do you like the Nolan Brothers(Christopher and Jonathan)  who have brought you collaborative projects like Inception and Interstellar?  Well if you do like all those things, keep reading and if you don't, keep reading... There's a point to this.  Westworld, is a sci-fi, western television series that tackles the question created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, Westworld is a very ambitious show that tackles the questions, "what does it mean to be conscious"? and "what it means to be truly human". In the future, there's a super realistic western park created by a man named Ford and his dead partner Arnold. They created life like being called hosts and gave them roles to play in a western world.  Real human beings come to the park and are given the opportunity to dive into the madness and realness of the place. They can do whatever they want to in the park and that is just a fraction...

Mowgli:Legend Of The Jungle

  Mowgli legend of the jungle is an adaptation of the book "The Jungle Book" by Rudyard Kipling which inspired the creation of the Disney classic of the same name.  That said Disney classic got the live action treatment sometimes last year and it got praised for it faithfully stating true to the Disney classic and for its incredibly photorealistic CGI.  Mowgli tells the story of the jungle book again but this time, it isn't based on the Disney film but rather the original source material by Rudyard Kipling.  Disney's the jungle book wasn't a straight up faithful adaptation but it managed to stick to major plot points of the book and this film tries to flesh out those plot points by giving all the characters a realistic backstory that doesn't make characters beside the Man Cub feel like they're only there for plot convenience.  I haven't read book by Rudyard Kipling but I know this film is a more faithful adaptation than the Disney film.   Dire...
