The Legendary "Zack Snyder Cut"

It's the last day of the year and I thought it'd be fitting for me to talk about one of the things I'll be stop thinking about in 2018 and that's the Justice League "Zack Snyder" cut. Zack Snyder the Original person helming the DCEU is a man of controversy either really hate his work or really love it. I fall into the latter group and I've seen most of his movies and I still think Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Man Of Steel are two masterpieces or is it masterpiece?(I suck at grammar grammer). A lot of "DC FANS" say Snyder "ruined Superman" and "killed their enthusiasm for dc films" but I personally got saved from the formulaic marvel films all thanks to Zack Snyder because Man of Steel changed my life when I was 14.

After the year wait, Justice League finally came out and is even available for digital download for reasons unknown to me. Justice League was super underwhelming because if you're a fan of Zack's work, you'll know a lot of things in this movie aren't "his vision" like WB wants us to believe. But can I do anything about that and bring his unedited version to the public? No! So I have decided that I'll just have to look at the Justice League movie we got as the end of an era and DC submitting to marvel. Patty Jenkins(WW2),James Wan(Aquaman) and David F. Sandberg(Shazam) are all really great filmmakers and I'd really hope their films will be as unique and thought provoking as BVS and MOS but the sad reality is,that might never happen so I just have deal with it.

We don't always get what we want. Let's look at the cinema before the cinematic universes came in and changed things. Back then,a lot of great movies had lackluster sequels and we lived with it and appreciated the originals for what they were;beautiful gems of filmmaking. So we should do the same here with BVS and MOS. I'm not saying we shouldn't watch other dc movies,I'm just saying that we shouldn't raise our hopes up to high if not we'll end up getting disappointed like we were with Justice League.

The Zack Snyder cut is something I want to see a lot because they were a ton of amazing scenes in the trailers that didn't make the cut and the way Zack talked about Justice League was just absolutely poetic and you could see how much he loved working on the film. I just hope he stays healthy and lives a good life with his family because he deserves it and I can say that BVS and MOS will be remembered by future generations as one of the best films to come out of the Comic Book Movie Genre.

Thank You For Reading, please everything written Here is my opinion and if you think BVS or MOS sucked that is your own personally opinion.

IT(2017):Lazy Review

I've been stuck thinking about what to post and I got nothing. But I remembered that I watched "IT" late December and I wasn't scared surprisingly. I mean, they were a couple of jump scares but overall nothing really scared me. It was a fun movie though and I see why it got a sequel announced and universal praise. It's based of the first chapter of the Stephen King novel of the same name and I have read a couple of pages from  the book but I haven't finished it because I'm lazy and I procrastinate a lot(I haven't still finished reading a song of ice and fire).   Set in the '90-somethings(I'm lazy don't eat me) in a town of something, something(I know, you're disappointed) a series of kids get missing and the adults of the town act like nothing's happening. Bill Denbrough(that's right,I remembered his name) looses his brother as well. Billy and other kids in the town(including his friends) start to see th...

Why I Love: One Piece

Last year was quite a hard time for me, it was my final year at the university and for what  felt like the first time in my life, I was truly struggling with school. Not the “oh I’m scared I might not do well” but I was genuinely doing bad. This wasn’t because I wasn’t reading or not putting in the work, it was just because I was given a terrible lecturer as a supervisor. I used to think I had a good relationship with him but during the course of the second semester I began to see a shift in his personality and obvious hate towards me. As someone who struggles with insecurities, I was constantly insulted and ridiculed for no real reasons and even though I knew what he said about me wasn’t true,  I was still hurt. Hurt not just because of how he made me feel bad but hurt because the idea of failing and disappointing my parents and family in general was killing me on the inside and I had no means to express how trapped I felt. You’re probably wondering, “Why...

Samurai Champloo: Why Is It So Good?

In the year 2005, the anime community had one of their gems; Samurai Champloo come out. Its well written and set in an extremely lively version of old school (Edo) japan. Its storyline is simple, two extremely skilled yet very different swordsmen Mugen and Jin have fate bring them across a young outspoken lady Fuu who helps them out of a tough spot and insist on them accompany her to find the very vaguely named “samurai who smells of sunflowers”. This serves as the catalyst that carries us on a well voiced, animated, and extremely stylistic adventure across japan towards the course of its 20 plus episode run. Here are some of the reasons I think Samurai Champloo is so enjoyable   1. TONE AND SETTING: One of the reasons it works so well is that even with its fictional story, its grounded in reality without being overly dramatic or serious. Most films, shows and games based off old eras like this usually take themselves super serious and in the process turn out being bla...

Severance: An Unforgettable Thriller

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you didn't remember the stress of your workplace when you get home? From the mind of Dan Erickson, directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle, Severance offers an answer to the aforementioned question and pushes the limit by asking " when your consciousness is spilt into two, which one is the real you? " The series follows a severed employee at Lumon, Mark who has recently been promoted to the Head of Microdata and Refinement Department after the sudden resignation of his boss and the recruitment of a new employee, Helly Riggs. Plot Severance has a unique plot, while the execution of a series without a definite blueprint can prove difficult, it does not fall into this hole. The series answers (almost)all the questions it poses in the first few episodes but ends on a note that will leave you spiraling and brimming with inquisitiveness.  Characters For every character, we follow two distinct ...
