The Star Wars Prequels are Better Than The Original Trilogy(Sue Me)

Ho,Jo,jalapeño (I don't know what that means but it rhymes) Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates Christmas! It's Barney here, and today has been a shitty Christmas for me. I tried being a vegetarian but I couldn't because I was tempted bye chicken(damn you chicken!) And so I decided to make a post on why I like, and prefer the SW prequels to the originals.(disclaimer: please note that what am about to say might be rubbish due to the fact that I'm bored or it might actually make sense so,please don't take it personally).

I didn't grow up with the Original Trilogy so I don't have the whole "Nostalgic Bias" that all the "real" and "original" star wars fans have. I personally feel the OT had very cliché and laughable moments because it didn't age well and I find it funny how the Star Wars Purists ignore that fact and put the original trilogy on such a high pedestal. I mean,Obi-Wan's and Darth Vader's fight in A New Hope was just hilarious to watch and yet it's so "ICONIC".

So now for my argument. The Original Trilogy talked about a "galaxy" yet we didn't know shit about it but the Prequels expanded on it,the prequels brought about the clone wars which really really really expanded the star wars universe. It brought a new generation of fans and it had memorable fight scenes and very believable character development (Anakin's rise to the dark side). The prequels aren't perfect and some scenes especially in attack of the clones are really bad and they are scenes in all three prequels that has some irritating CGI but if you're judging it overall it is definately more memorable and entertaining to the audience because it aged well.

The prequels had issues like revenge of sith was great but it didn't perfectly connect to a new hope but it didn't really bother me that much because a new hope itself wasn't a perfect film it was just groundbreaking at the time when it was released. Sometimes I wonder why the star wars fandom is so strong because there isn't really anything special about it(no offense) I like star wars a lot but I don't exaggerate my excitement like the fanboys do(yes a lot of people fake their star wars excitement especially "critics" and most "youtubers").

I found out insulting the prequels is the new cool and they bash things I really love like Hayden Christensen as Anakin,Natalie Portman as Padme, and the fight scenes that they claim are too "CG". But I say to them, which is more believable based on the story, the Jedi fighting all ninja-like(the prequels) because they're highly trained or them fighting all slow and lazily(OT). I do not hate the original trilogy,I actually like them but c'mon they are a lot of dumb shit in them that they barely bash like the last hour of return of the Jedi(that's right ewoks,I'm looking at you guys). Those same people bash little things in the prequels so hard like the " sand" scene in attack of the clones, why?.

I'll stop there, agree with me or not you have to at least admit the OT fanbase is purely nostalgia driven.

Sound of Metal movie review

It is not every time that we get to see the world through the ears of the deaf members of our society. Sound of metal follows the story of Ruben Stone (Riz Ahmed) and his girlfriend Louise (Olivia Cooke) coming to terms with Ruben’s deafness. They’re are both members of a heavy metal band, Ruben plays the drums while Louise sings. They were touring the USA when hell breaks loose, Ruben begins to lose his hearing. The movie started out as a pity ride for me (like we humans always do when we don’t understand much about medical conditions), it later panned out to be a wholesome journey I was glad I heard and felt it through Ahmed Riz’s performance, all of his hopelessness, frustration, anger was well channeled and felt. The insight offered into the deaf world from this movie makes sure to make the statement that deafness wasn’t a disability, I’m beginning to see it as a whole new world that needs to be included with other members of the society. It is not every time I get lost...

DAREDEVIL SEASON 3: An Immersive Masterpiece

Marvel ’s daredevil is back and honestly there is only one word that can be used to describe the thirteen episode brilliance that is season 3 and that word is…..wow. Honestly speaking, this season is more of a direct sequel to season 1 than season 2 was which makes perfect sense because, season 2 was basically a backdoor pilot  for the Defenders and The Punisher. In fact, I can say that if you do not watch season 2 of daredevil you wouldn’t really be confused because, most of the issues being faced here are mostly from where season 1 left off. Please know that my previous statement does not in any way mean season 2 of Daredevil was bad,it was great. My only real issue was that the show trying so hard to make the hand feel like this unstoppable force. I think that was pointless because, it didn’t pay off ...

Valerian: A City Of A Thousand Planets.

Valerian a city of a thousand planets is another evidence of critics bias and hate towards pretty much everything that isn't Disney related. You might disagree or argue all you want but it is the truth. It has 49% on rotten tomatoes which is considered the number one critic site right now. If you didn't like this movie's storyline you have to at least give it a 55% for it's extremely gorgeous visuals because this film has amazing and breath taking scenes, they're great and incredible to watch.      It stars Dane Deehan as Valerian and Cara Delevigne as his partner/love interest Laureline. They're basically futuristic space cops with the weirdest and interesting technological gear you've ever seen and they work for like this really big space station with generals and stuff like that. To summarize the film's plot,I'd say it's a sci fi space adventure about two partners uncovering the shady mistake of their government...well technically on...
