So,if you haven't seen the movie and don't want any spoilers, bookmark this page and come back later.
Now that's been said,I'm going to talk about Thor Ragnarok and I'm going to be quite frank,it's been getting a lot of buzz so I had to see it. And as most of you who read my posts know,I'm mostly a DC fan and I sometimes seem biased but to be honest I just like good movies.
I am going to be judging this movie based on what has been established by the MCU so far. So please don't send me death threats, this is how I always feel when you guys don't like what I say.

Now,listen here if this is your first marvel flick and you just had a bad day and you went to be entertained for 2hrs,this movie is for you.... If you're a biased marvel fan boy who never criticises, this movie is also for you...but if you like movies that know how to balance tones and don't go from "this is the end of the world" to "you ride your hammer",you'll see a lot of flaws just like I did.
For the most parts, the jokes really removed me from the severity of what ragnarok's supposed to be which is the end of Asgard so the jokes had me looking like this mostly (am not saying they weren't funny)

| Can we focus more on the story and less on jokes? |
Okay, okay I'm digressing. The movie starts up with Thor being tied up in chains in the lair of the villainous sartur who wants the destruction of Asgard. He honestly could have killed Thor easily but he actually waited for Thor to talk a lot and still wait for him to summon Mjolnir(I guess Thor couldn't die in the beginning?) Thor frees himself from the chains and goes full god(no jokes)on sartur's minions and it was cool to watch but it got me thinking if he's the strong, why wasn't he really efficient in taking down the chitauri or ultron's minions. Most of you will say he's gotten stronger, but I say this..." How!!!!???".
Moving on,Thor kills most of them and Rips Sartur's crown or is it headpiece? Anyways he flies away with a hesitant mjolnir and then calls to be brought to Asgard via the bifrost.

| So he's on like asgardian steroids? |

He arrives on Asgard to see things have changed,he sees "Odin" with his subjects watching a reenactment of the ending of thor2 with Matt Damon playing an asgardian who's playing a dying Loki, and some other dude playing Thor.
Thor smells something fishy and he makes a bluff on "Odin" with Mjolnir and then calls Mjolnir when Loki reveals he took "Odin's" identity. This was not what I expected after the ending of Thor2 but I guess Loki slouching and not causing mischief is better than him actually acting like Loki and causing mischief. Thor orders Loki to take him to where he kept Odin, turns out Odin was sent to a retirement home on earth which just got demolished,Thor takes a selfie with some girl who tells him she's sorry Jane dumped him and Thor made the most irritating joke which I won't talk about.

Thor gets in contact with Stephen Strange who tells him the location of Odin who happens to be in Norway and Thor and Loki are teleported there.
Odin says farewell to his two sons and tells them about their Sister Hela, and explains to them about how powerful she is. Odin perishes and Hela appears,Thor tris to attack her with Mjolnir but she destroys it and I was so so so happy. Seeing how strong she is,The two brothers call for the bifrost, but Hela follows them and pushes them through it,and then she arrives at Asgard alone where she kills Thor Comrades and a bunch of Asgardian soldiers, she spares Skurge(the brief former replacement of heimdall) when he surrenders and he becomes her right hand man.
Okay this is getting awfully very long...so,I'll try to speed things up... You know what? F**k it,I'll just do what I want to.
Thor ends up in a mysterious planet, he is captured by some taser like device placed on his next by a chick who has something in common with Thor, Thor is taking to the contest of champions which is basically the WWE of that world but with the Grandmaster as Vince McMahon. Thor is too face the champion (i don't know why, because isn't he meant to face enough people before he moves on to the champ?) Who if you guessed it turns how to be hulk. The fight starts in hulk's favour, but midway through Thor goes all lightening god mode on him and is actually beating hulk until the grandmaster....okay I just can't anymore am too stressed maybe,I'll continue later( I won't).. Sorry about this...it's a good movie but not a good MCU movie,in fact it's weak considering the fact it's leading up to Infinity War.
Problems
-lack of focus on plot, and over focus on jokes
-forgetful villain
-sartur is an ex machina
-Thor is a comedian
-Banner is confused
-Thor is great(wait that's not a problem)
-Valkyrie is bland asf
-Skurge is pointless
-Odin is Obi-Wan from Return of the Jedi
-Doctor Strange Is Falcon from Antman
-The end of Asgard doesn't feel like it.
-All Asgardian citizens fit in one ship
-The Grandmaster is a Grand fail(irritating stuttering)
-Thor is Lil Odin
-Loki needs to seriously pick a side, jeez!
-The Director doesn't know when to be serious and when to joke
-worst Stan Lee cameo (made no sense)
-grandmaster orgy joke is a fail
-waste of Matt Damon
-Hela towards the ending
- how did heimdall get the bifröst sword?
-apparently all the asgardian citizens who used to fill up Asgard, can now become this small amount of people that can hide inside Asgard when the plot needs it.
-wasting the ragnarok tease from age of ultron
-why wasn't Loki made to compete? Also why did he suddenly be so big in Sakaar that he can sit next to the grandmaster during matches, is it that if you're not bulky you're bros with the grandmaster?
-Why are people calling this overrated film a masterpiece? It had terrible pacing, the comedy didn't let all the serious moments land and the jumping around of scenes was too horrible to bare
-"it was mutual dumping"
-if Hela wanted to rule, why didn't she just take the tesseract from Odin's vault and use it to control the asgardians?
-me thinking people will agree with me
That's all for now, don't forget to like share and subscribe.
